NEW HAZARDOUS SOIL TREATMENT FACILITY FOR SOUTH WALES
Biogenie englobe is delighted to announce the forthcoming opening of its new contaminated soil treatment facility (STF) in
Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales.
The facility – based at Biffa’s Trecatti landfill site – is the fifth of its kind in the UK and enhances the strategic partnership
between Biogenie englobe and Biffa, along with our joint commitment to investing in hazardous soil treatment.
The new Soil Treatment Facility (STF) will be opening in mid-August.
Our five STFs offer:
- national coverage
- sustainable landfill void diversion
- compliant treatment and disposal of a wide range of hazardous wastes, including waste acceptance criteria (WAC) failing
materials - landfill tax exemption on most materials

- hydrocarbon impacted soils with asbestos fibres <0.1%
