The first phase of construction has commenced at Biffa’s Skelton Grange landfill site near Leeds for Biogenie and Biffa’s latest soil treatment facility (STF)
The STF will be opening toward the end of September this year and will be able to receive and treat a variety of hazardous soils, hazardous materials and a range of contaminates. As with our existing Soil Treatment Facilities, the process is landfill tax exempt, delivering a considerable cost saving on disposal without sacrificing compliance. The treated materials will then be beneficially re used for restoration purposes on the Skelton Grange landfill site rather than taking up landfill void.
Biogenie are Celtic’s sister company, also a division of EnGlobe Corp, and operate all of EnGlobe’s Soil Treatment Facilities across the UK, for the locations of our STFs please visit Biogenie’s website http://www.biogenie.co.uk/site-locations/
